The Daily Cleanse

The Daily Cleanse

Your skin is an amazing thing. It is the body’s largest organ and is the first line of defence from pollutants and irritants we face everyday. For this reason, nourishing and protecting it should be a priority.

The choice of skincare in recent years has become somewhat overwhelming. Often larger skincare brands will utilise a long list of chemicals, the formulations of which can strip your skin of it’s natural oils, eventually causing more issues, such as breakouts.

At Olively, we utilise some of nature’s most skin-loving ingredients which allow you to cleanse and protect your skin in a gentle way.

Of course, at the core of our range of products is our extra virgin olive oil, proudly produced in Alt Empordà, Catalunya. Olive oil is known for several benefits to the skin as it is high in antioxidants and vitamins A, D, K and E. It helps to reverse and prevent sun damage due to its high concentration of squalene, which is highly moisturising. Olive oil is not only vastly nourishing, it is also far more ecologically ethical than a lot of common skincare ingredients.

The facial cleansing bar also contains coconut oil and shea butter. Both of which contain fatty acids which help to reduce inflammation and heal wounds. They also are highly moisturising and help to protect the skin barrier, thereby preventing future breakouts.

The facial soap’s distinctive black colour comes from another key ingredient, activated charcoal. Charcoal is known to remove excess oils and impurities from your skin. The soap bars texture is made by the use of oats which is a natural exfoliant and helps to rid of dirt and dead skin cells. The facial bar also smells very fresh due to its use of tea tree oil; a calming ingredient known for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.

Everyday we face a build up of bacteria, impurities, pollution, dirt, oil, dead skin cells, sunscreen and makeup. If your skin is left unwashed, all of these things can make their way under the surface, causing clogged pores and breakouts. Lack of cleansing can lead to dull complexion, cellular damage and premature ageing. A daily cleanse goes a long way in maintaining vibrant skin and improving the efficacy of your additional skincare serums and moisturisers.

At Olively, we want the best for your skin. The cleansing of your skin can be an enjoyable ritual to start and finish your day, taking care of yourself. We only use some of nature’s most beneficial ingredients so as to keep your skin soft and supple.
