Hydration Vs. Moisture

Hydration Vs. Moisture

How many times has it happened to you that you don't know if you have dehydrated skin or dry skin?

It is very common not to know how to differentiate both terms, although in a nutshell, dehydrated skin lacks water, while dry skin lacks oil. Sometimes we tend to confuse both terms, which can cause us to end up using the wrong products for our skin.

Dehydration lacks water in a similar way to dry skin, dehydrated skin presents symptoms that include itchiness, flaking and cooling, although tightness, pronounced lines and dullness are also signs to consider. Dehydration can occur due to a variety of factors.

Low temperatures can be an important factor, also cold winds or air conditioning as they extract moisture from the skin, or very hot and long showers. All of these factors tend to deprive our skin of natural oils, which at the same time allows water to escape from the skin's surface. To keep the skin hydrated it is also important to maintain a balanced diet, deprive yourself of alcohol and processed foods.

On the other hand, dry skin is one that has a lack of essential lipids or fat. Our skin needs hydration and moisture to stay strong and glowing. If you notice sensitive or dry skin, olive oil is a wonderful organic moisturizer for your skin, using it with a small amount on your body you will be able to feel that moisture that was missing.

We also recommend using our luxurious moisturizing cream whose main ingredient is our own olive oil, rich in vitamin E, phenols and sharks that help prevent skin oxidation and help regenerate, repair and hydrate without greasing the skin.
